We are so pleased that we brought Nicola into school...Nicola is so warm, calm and reassuring that even the most hesitant and reluctant participants were keen to go back to her activity every week.
— Sarah Herlinger, Co-Head of Middle School, Kingswood School

Resilience Sessions at Secondary Schools and Primary School Transition years (year 5/6)

Sessions are delivered in dance studios or school halls and when available, outdoors in a woodland area.

Benefits for your pupils

Empowering students with tools that boost resilience helping them to….

  • Mentally prepare for stressful situations e.g. exams, presentations, transitions to secondary school, competitions, college interviews etc.

  • Become more self-aware

  • Feel more confident and resilient - better equipped to handle stress, anxiety, and anger

  • Fulfill their potential in life

  • Improve relationships with others (responding rather than reacting)

Including meditations, breathing exercises, positive self-talk, self-compassion exercises, and mindful listening. When outdoors, we sit around a campfire and offer delicious Harth hot chocolate and snacks.

“I just wanted to write and thank you for the time and effort you put into the workshop that you delivered to year 5/6. It was such a valuable workshop and all the children really enjoyed it. They have come away with some practical experience from the session and a set of simple and effective strategies that they can use at any time.” Charlotte Webb, Pastoral Support Lead, Shoscombe School

“Nicola supported a vulnerable year group after Covid-19 disruptions had caused an obvious deterioration in some children's mental health by planning and delivering a series of sessions focussed on self-esteem and emotional resilience and well-being. These were well received by the children and they spoke highly of the quality interactions they were able to develop with Nicola over the course of the sessions…Nicola has shown herself to be a professional and approachable part of our team and is tuned in to individual needs and mindful where certain activities may need adapting for individual children based on previous experiences”
